剛剛一打開電腦就收到朋友傳來的訊息, 大意是說 Yahoo!/TW 的 News 網頁出現正確的 charset tag 了. 打開網頁看了一下,

如同上面的例子, 的確是把 charset 正確的放上去了, 感謝 Yahoo!/TW News 的工作團隊. :)
坦白講這過程真的是感觸良多, 工程團隊沒話說能夠了解技術上的缺陷並且改善, 只花了大約一週的時間就完成程式的修改 (我相信網頁上面這些東西都是用程式跑出來的, 不是每個新聞用手工輸入網頁前後的 tag). 不過 Yahoo!/TW 的客服部門的水準實在很差, 完全抓不住問題的核心也不願意花時間去了解, 只是一昧的用完全沒有用處的錄音帶撥放機方式回信.
不論工程的團隊多強, 實際面對客戶的第一線客服人員如果專業能力不達一定的基礎, 工作心態以及職業態度訓練不足的話, 都會瞬間把工程團隊的努力歸零的.

『正式版IE』後續
怒了啊! 一個問題給我來來回回10次, 每次都要我自己改我瀏覽器的 charset, 事情不是這樣做的呀! 出了問題就應該從源頭解決才對. Yahoo!/TW 這公司到底重不重視客服的水準跟產品的品質呢? 一怒之下寫英文 (用 Yahoo! U.S.A. 的 webmail 打中文有點困難... 其實是 gmail 做太好 :p)

that your page did not content correct charset encode meta tag.
You should forward this email to your engineering team and they
can explan you what is charset.

回信裡面出現一堆問號, 顯然又是 charset encode 的鳥蛋問題. (看來這公司連自己 CS 部門發的 email 都有 charset 不正確的問題, Yahoo!/TW 知道自己的問題有多大嗎?)
Anyway, 這 Customer Service 終於願意把我的意見轉給 production team 去看, 希望看了以後能去把網頁的 charset tag 改好.
